I sometimes think about how the global leaders we have are not truly taught how to be leaders at all. How this kind of education has evolved in the West to glorify leadership as a strategy of striping those they serve of their power in grossly cruel and violent ways, as well as in subtle psychological ways every day – subverting consent around every bend, coercing behavior beneficial to a small few.
Leaders today must have dominion over all, including over nature. The deep sadness of it all is that so many great leaders, true leaders, who understand that having power means only that you must learn to give it away to those you serve, are so often silenced.
